We travelled on the Deccan Odyssey during our stay in India and then toured Nepal. The journey and experience on the train was just fantastic (as was everything else) and we have decided to return to it in 2020 to do another tour of Southern India.
Because you did such an amazing job for us with the last holiday we would like you to please book for us another journey on Deccan Odyssey and add Kerala with it.

A huge “Thank you!” for arranging our April trip to the Golden Triangle and Shimla. The holiday exceeded our expectations and your arrangements helped to erase any anxieties.
Pride of place goes to the excellent service you offered; from the booking, throughout the trip, and the fact that you were always easy to reach and speedy in your responses.
The home stay in Delhi, though basic, was clean and the food very good.
Our driver, Rishi: I have already read other reviews rightfully singing his praises. He played a huge part in making out holiday as enjoyable as it was. terrific command of English, an endless source of relevant and interesting information, an easy sense of humour. Nothing was too much trouble. “Everything is possible in India!”
The ITC Mughal in Agra was excellent; clean, quiet, well-appointed with friendly staff and good food. They could look at ways of speeding up their check in procedures, though.
Zahid, our guide at Fatehpur Sikri, was the best guide by far – patient, unhurried and full of relevant, interesting information; the only guide who did not seem to want to get things done quickly and to stay out of the sun!
The Umaid Bhawan in Jaipur was tremendous. Bags of atmosphere, friendly, helpful staff, clean and quiet with a roof top restaurant/bar serving terrific food.
Back in Delhi for a night, the Palace Heights Hotel was an inspired choice – clean, quiet, good food and an central location.
My mishap with the train coupons sorted out seamlessly, thank you!
Clark’s Hotel in Shimla sets the bar very high! Shades of times past but unpretentious. Very comfy and quiet . Service was superb as were the cocktails and the food. What a fabulous place! What a climax to a wonderful holiday!
When (not if) we next plan a trip to India we will definitely make you our first port of call, Rajiv. Many, many thanks!

Just to say thanks for your organisation for my last trip. All hotels were good, the Suryaa excellent.
Everything was excellent and driver as always helpful and nothing too much trouble. I enjoy traveling with Tailormade Journeys and was my 7 trip with them.

Just wanted to comment on our recent Golden Triangle trip. It was excellent throughout. Our driver and guide, Rishi -please excuse the spelling if incorrect, was outstanding and made the trip a great experience. He went out of his way to make sure everything on the trip was perfect. He was very knowledgeable and equally as good as the local guides in providing interesting information. Whenever we showed interest in anything as we drove between cities, he would stop and then tell us a lot more about what we were seeing in the countryside. My wife and I really appreciated that. He was very friendly, easy to talk to and had a great sense of humour. We cannot praise him enough for making this trip so special. The hotels you chose were all very good with the Suryaa and the Metropolitan edging out the others in overall quality and service. Thanks for a great trip and pass on our best wishes to Rishi and Rohit in Delhi.

If you are looking for a travel company to organise a trip to Kerala then you need to look no further than Tailormade Journeys! We have just returned from an excellent 2 week holiday to Kerala packed full of cultural, wildlife and beach experiences staying in truly wonderful hotels. We took in Cochin, the Western Ghats, an overnight trip on a houseboat on the backwaters as well as time to relax at the end of our holiday at a superb beach location. The organisation, including a very knowledgeable driver- guide worked extremely well for us and we came home full of wonderful images and memories of the beautiful place that is Kerala. This was one of our best holidays and at a good time of the year with plenty of warm sun. We are very grateful to all that made our trip so enjoyable and fun.

Now we are back home and caught up with all the “normal things of life” we wanted to write to give you our feedback from our recent holiday tour of India.
We cannot fault the service you provided in making all the bookings (with special attention to my wheelchair access requirements) arranging the guides for different stages, advising on the best hotels to stay in and of course the delightful “Mr Rana” our driver for the majority of the time, who was the nicest man you could ask to meet and who single handedly arranged the day to day travel requirements always with a smile and a joke 🙂

Thought you would be interested in how our trip went…The Maharajas Express Gems of India was very nice trip and the service was A class. We were very happy with all guides and drivers for rest of our trip to Nepal and in Delhi . Absolutely, could not have been nicer or more accommodating , Hotels were all very good in Nepal and in Delhi Leela Palace was amazing.
