We arrived back home on 9 December 18 after our trip to South India. I had planned to write sooner – but with Christmas etc., I kept putting it off.
The trip was fabulous – all the arrangements went smoothly; itinerary good; the hotels (mostly) were great; the choice of Ground Operator – Personal Tours Associate – was excellent; the driver was terrific throughout; the guides were all good, two excellent; and the flights (which we booked ourselves via Emirates) all on time and mostly good too. The food was terrific (mostly) and the sights of ‘Incredible India’ absolutely incredible. All very memorable and we’d give the whole holiday a 95% score. Our stay in Dubai was a bit of a disappointment, as after being conditioned to the India way of life, it seem very brash, artificial and very very expensive. We’ll try and avoid Dubai in future.
Great sights; but best off all were the people, the people of India, themselves.
